Greatest Hits Radio asks the nation to Say It Through A Song

This Mental Health Awareness Week (Monday 11 May – Sunday 17 May), Greatest Hits Radio has teamed up with the Mental Health Foundation to get the nation talking about how music can improve mental health. The award-winning network is asking listeners to Say It Through A Song – and share their go to classics that bring joy and positive feelings.

Research shows that music can lift our mood, so Greatest Hits Radio is reaching out to the nation and asking them to share the greatest hit that brings them the most joy. Maybe it’s the song they always turn up in the car or the tune that never fails to get them singing.

Listeners can send in their selections via the Greatest Hits Radio website or to weekender@greatesthitsradio.co.uk ahead of the station’s Say It Through A Song Weekender which starts on Friday 15th May.

And it’s not just the audience who will be getting involved with Say It Through A Song, with presenters including Ken Bruce, Kate Thornton and Simon Mayo, joining listeners in sharing the songs that bring them joy.

Gary Stein, Director of Audio for ßÏÀÖÔ° Audio UK, said:

“Audio, more than any other medium, has the power to connect, uplift and communicate. Greatest Hits Radio’s partnership with the Mental Health Foundation will help the UK share how they’re feeling – even when it’s difficult to put it into words – as Say It Through A Song calls on the nation to channel the music to help lift their mood, uplift others and express themselves.â€

You can share your uplifting songs and join the musical conversation with Say it Through A Song, all this week on Greatest Hits Radio.
