Mission Christmas announces incredible £16.9 million raised to support nearly 319,000 children

Mission Christmas – the UK’s largest gift appeal organised by children’s charity Cash for Kids – have announced this morning that the 2025 campaign has raised a total of £16,903,882. This huge sum has ensured that 318,767 children will wake up to a visit from Santa this Christmas and represents a 10% increase on the total announced in 2024, making it one of the most successful campaigns to date.

This remarkable achievement comes during a year of unprecedented demand. With a record number of applications received, the campaign faced significant challenges, but supporters went above and beyond—donating funds, dropping off gifts, and volunteering their time at Mission HQs nationwide.

Breakfast hosts on some of the nation’s favourite radio stations including Absolute Radio, Greatest Hits Radio, Hits Radio, KISS ²¹²Ô»åÌýMagic Radio all shared the good news on air this morning, thanking all those that had helped Cash for Kids reach this incredible total.

The largest children’s Christmas gift appeal in the UK, Mission Christmas is an annual campaign run by ßÏÀÖ԰’s charity Cash for Kids, which aims to give Santa a helping hand in getting presents to those in the community who may otherwise go without.

Cash for Kids Managing Director, Sally Aitchison MBE said: ‘I am hugely proud of this total, with a record number of applications once again, it has been a tough year. But our supporters have really gone to extra mile to make a donation, drop off a gift or volunteer in our Mission HQ’s. The campaign rallies our communities for good and is a stark reminder of the power of kindness. We are hugely grateful to each and everyone of them for ensuring that over 300,000 children across the UK will be waking up to a gift this Christmas Day.’

As ever a number of famous faces helped highlight the cause with broadcasters including Magic Radio’s Harriet Scott and Harry Judd, Hits Radio’s Tom Green, Greatest Hits Radio’s Kate Thornton ²¹²Ô»åÌýAbsolute Radio’s Bush & Ritchie taking part in a huge outside broadcast from Mission Christmas HQ in Manchester earlier this month.

Cash for Kids Ambassadors Ant & Dec lent their support to the campaign once again as did tennis legend Andy Murray in partnership with Walkers Shortbread, who this year designed a festive shortbread themed jumper, with Andy’s own jumper auctioned and replica versions sold to raise money.

Events took place across the UK as Rock Choir threw the Ultimate Christmas party with Sam Ryder and Emeli Sande at Birmingham’s bp pulse Live and chef Tom Kitchin opened up his Edinburgh restaurant for a very special fundraising dinner.

Terry Wogan’s daughter in law, author Kate Wogan donated proceeds from her Christmas book, Uh Oh Milo! The Excited Elf.  Retailers Stand Out Socks, Rudy’s Pizza and Nuby also threw their weight behind the campaign raising funds, allowing their stores to be used as drop off points for gifts or donating gifts.

And long-term supporters B&M and Wickes onceagain acted as national drop off points for gift collection.

The team at Cash for Kids worked tirelessly throughout December ensuring that gifts reached the homes of the children who need them most. The charity works with many local grass-root organisations as well as social workers, head teachers and the emergency services who nominate families in crisis to be supported by the appeal.

You can continue to help make a difference to lives of disadvantaged children in your area by making a donation to Cash for Kids. To make a contribution or see how you can get involved in future campaigns, please visit .
